Our Mission
About ten years ago, my family rescued a Cockapoo mix named Roger. He was a loving, joyful, and incredibly intelligent dog who quickly became the heart of our family. We showered him with affection and did our best to spoil him, including feeding him lots of highly-processed treats and foods. Roger also sparked our passion for animal rescue. Six happy years later, Rog was diagnosed with pancreatitis. We did everything we could to help him, visiting countless vets and trying every treatment. Sadly, he passed away just a few months after the diagnosis. We were devastated.
Through this heartbreaking experience, we realized that a highly-processed diet might not be the best for pets. Determined to make a change, we began exploring ways to improve our pets’ health. We stopped feeding them foods with long lists of unrecognizable ingredients and started preparing simple, wholesome meals ourselves. And that’s how BLACK FOX Pet Foods was born—named after the black-fox-shaped silhouette of one of our rescues, Sasha. At BLACK FOX, our mission is to provide pets with premium, simple ingredients and environmentally friendly food choices.
